We at Joe's Butcher Shop and Fish Market are very proud to bring you this Virtual Wine Tasting exclusively for you!
For this virtual tasting we are led by Kristopher Anderson, Portfolio Manager and Sommelier from a boutique wine division of Republic National Distributing Company.
The three wines we are tasting are all Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley.
Rutherford Ranch Cabernet
The first Cabernet is Rutherford Ranch, an introductory Cab. The wine is a blend of multiple vineyards owned by Rutherford along with their flagship vineyard.
Rutherford is a fully sustainable vineyard offering a tremendous value. Hints of black cherry and current, along with an underlying tone of Dark Chocolate and Spearmint make this 12 month oaked wine very food friendly. You may pair this with anything from a great burger to a fatty Ribeye steak! Joe's Butcher Shop is offering this wine at $22.99 blt plus tax.
2014 David Ramey
The second Cabernet is a 2014 David Ramey! This is a Cab produced by David Ramey made in a more Bordelais style and will continue to age for 5 more years but is ready to drink now with 6 years of age already on the product. This wine offers 18 months of both French and American oak.
This wine will pair with roasted meats and aged cheeses. A savory wine, this wine was rated 93 points by multiple reviewers including Jeb Dunnick. At $37.99 blt plus tax this is a true bargain (normally up to $65 btl elsewhere) just for this tasting. Only 10 cases are available!
2014 Silverado GEO
The final Cabernet is a 2014 Silverado GEO. This wine is gorgeous and is 97% cab. James Suckling gave this wine 95 points and is very aromatic and we have just 20 bottles of this available. Founded by Diane Disney Miller the Silverado Vineyard was founded in Stags Leap. However, GEO is sourced from a single vineyard in Coombsville, so it's 100% Combsville AVA. . Optimal drinking is this year but we think it has a couple more years easily in the bottle.
Peppercorn and plum dominate with hints of blackberry. Pair this wine with Lamb, Venison, a great steak or even dark chocolate. At $69 a btl plus tax this wine sells for $85 a bottle normal retail.

Our pricing does not include tax but DOES including home delivery to you in Marion and the doughnut counties. Joe will call you and obtain your credit card information.
