Miso Glazed Sablefish

Sablefish, also known as black cod, has a rich, buttery texture that pairs beautifully with a miso glaze. This dish is simple to prepare but packed with umami flavor. It’s a restaurant-style dish you can easily make at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 sablefish fillets (from Joe’s)
  • ¼ cup white miso paste
  • 3 tbsp mirin
  • 3 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Whisk together miso, mirin, sake, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Marinate fish in mixture for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  4. Bake for 10–12 minutes until fish is flaky and slightly caramelized on top.
  5. Serve with rice and steamed greens.
